“Using architecture in my Arts Award has been very interesting. I have started noticing architecture everywhere and have found myself talking to people about it. I have decided to present my Arts Award through photography and have created a photo book to show and compare modern and classic architecture.” Izzy, aged 12, Silver Arts Award
Arts Award is a national scheme initiated by Arts Council England to inspire young people to participate in the arts. The Architecture Centre is an Arts Award Supporter.
Architecture is an art-form that affects everyone’s lives. It can be an interesting Arts Award theme for children and young people to explore. Architecture, urban design, public art, landscape design and interior design all provide opportunities to discover the design process and find out about the work of the creative people who design the places and spaces around us.
