Have you an architectural project you’d like to discuss with an impartial design expert?
Ask An Architect is an excellent design advice service offered by the Architecture Centre and the Royal Institute of British Architects to support design projects in the city.
Visitors are invited to book a 30 minute slot (or consecutive slots for a longer chat) to discuss plans, schemes and dreams for large or small projects. It is an opportunity to meet with a qualified architect for a friendly and informal talk to discuss your plans for building projects. It can be helpful if you bring along materials to aid the discussion, such as photographs, floor plans, inspirational examples or just your thoughts.
The Architecture Centre is a registered charity (no. 290575) and your donation will help support what we do. We kindly suggest a minimum donation of £25 per session.
Architect in Resident in March
Director, BiBO Studio
BiBO is an RIBA Chartered Practice of Architects established in 2018 to offer a more joyful approach to designing and delivering architecture.
BiBO = better in, better out. It’s our reimagining of the computing principle that if you put garbage in, you get garbage out.
The ‘better’ that we put in at BiBO is based on 3 simple ideas: Curiosity, Integrity & Joy.
We promise to always question whether there is a cheaper, simpler, nicer, better way.
“If I wouldn’t want to live/work/learn/play there myself, I won’t draw it”.
Life is short, enjoy it. We’ve learned that we do our best work when we are happy.
When we’re happy, we’re engaged. When we’re engaged, we’re better at communicating and more excited about our work. When we’re communicating and excited about our work, our clients are happy.
The Architecture Centre is pleased to be working with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) once again in 2018 to offer monthly Saturday advice surgeries with a local architect from a Chartered Practice. The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members. It provides the standards, training, support and recognition that put members – in the UK and overseas – at the peak of their profession.
