End half term getting hands-on with some creative clay play. Be inspired by our Life of Clay exhibition, then design and make your own clay tile creations.
Clay is a wonderfully tactile and malleable material. It is all around us, from the walls of our homes to the mugs we drink hot chocolate from. It has influenced our entire city and how we build buildings.
Join us for a free afternoon where, inspired by the creations around us in the exhibition gallery, we put clay to the test and build our own tile designs.
Squishing, twisting, pulling, this activity is a excellent opportunity for children to experient with with their hands the practicalities of clay and the material components required of structures.
Children under 16 to be accompanied by an adult.
